This is usually the time of year for changes at record labels, so I'll begin with the early rumblings from the music biz. This comes on the heels of a mass exodus by VP, Barbara Seltzer and her promotion staff. Is a Kedar Massenburg exit a possibility??? *The LA Reid takeover of Arista looks imminent. Does this mean that LaFace staffers Shanti Das, Mark Shimmell, Dorsey James, and Lisa Cambridge will be moving to NYC?? Please don't!!!! I would hate to see what Atlanta would be like without a LaFace presence. *Arista, RCA and others are quietly pursuing a certain seasoned Black Music marketing/promotion VP for big things. Will he pursue or stay on the "track"? * GINUWINE ENTERS FASHION GAME W/ FRAGRANCES Ginuwine will launch his own line of fragrances in February. The women's (G-Spot) and the men's (100% Ginuwine) fragrances will retail from $30-$45. The R&B singer plans to follow this up with bath and body products as well as incense and candles.
