Luke Tells Rappers To Go For Self
HOT 104.com News Desk

Luther Campbell recently told LAUNCH.com that rappers have to move beyond simply owning record companies.

Luke, who actually owned the manufacturing and distribution of his label Luke Records, believes artists should follow the examples of No Limit Records, Bad Boy Entertainment, Roc-A-Fella Records and Cash Money Records.

"It's time to now take it to another level because, you know, the record industry had to modify and do label deals and all that. Now people need to modify and go to the next level and say, 'Look, we want distribution deals. You know, we don't want label deals. Now you can distribute our product.' Enough of us ain't really doing that right now."
