Here is some great feedback from the Nitro Praise Mid-west team
about their New Years Eve Event:
SlapHappy New year to ya! Wanted to quick fill you in on the
"Breakout 2000 w/ Dawson McAllister" New Years Eve Rally in Toledo,OH.
It was GREAT! The day started out good w/ a live radio interview
w/ YES-FM. They asked us great questions and played 2 trax ("I
Exalt Thee" and "Great Is The Lord") off of SE7EN during the show.
Vonda Kay is a wonderful DJ/Interviewer. She came to the show
that night and said they would help us ANYTIME we were in Toledo.
FYI: YES-FM plays a TON of Chr. rap. Our sponsor was the Cathedral
of Praise/ Youth Pastor Jim Garrett. He was an excellent sponsor,
and amidst tending to a ton of last minute details and Dawson
AND 2 other bands, he made sure we were well taken care of.
Although the turn out was less than Jim had expected, a good
500 people showed up. Local band Sanctus Real opened up. Dawson's
straight-talk was next. Stereo Deluxxe from Nashville followed.
We were the headliner and finale band, and we brought in the New
Year the last hour of 1999! Our show (cut to an hour's length)
went great. Afterwards, we received many positive remarks which
really touched us. Jim was very pleased, and asked us to come
back for a full-length concert in the Spring.
